At Cochrane Foot Care Wellness Centre:
The Certified Foot Care Nurse is trained to assess the feet and lower extremities. Based on her nursing assessment, the nurse determines the care needed and provides treatment or refers the client to another health care provider for further assessment and/or treatment as necessary.

Failure to Maintain Proper Foot Care:
Failure to maintain proper and routine foot and nail care can cause discomfort, reduce mobility and lead to more serious complications such as infections and possibly amputations. People living with Diabetes should have their feet examined by a health care provider on a yearly basis to detect changes such as deformities, loss of sensation, circulation, etc...

Nursing Foot Care Includes Preventative Measures
and May Include the Following Interventions:

Skin Care : promotes skin integrity and comfort

Nail Care : reduction of thick nails, clearing build up, cutting and filing

Corn and Callus Management : reducing and enucluating corns and calluses decrease the risks of pressure ulcers

Fissure Management and Care : heel cracks can lead to infections if not treated and managed

Monday - Wednesday 9am-7pm
Thursday - 9am-5pm
Friday - 9am-3pm
